UNL performed succesfully at HNMUN 2012!

Now that the majority of our beloved delegates has returned to the old continent safe and sound, we have the chance to look back on what has been an intensely rewarding trip through the Northeast region of the USA.

Firstly, our traditional training week in New York City once again proved to be the best dress-rehearsal for the final test, a penultimate turn in the rollercoaster that is so often used as a metaphor to describe the indescribable – the UNL experience. Skills were fine-tuned, speeches were practiced, and our delegates challenged themselves for the final time in order to provide each other with the best possible preparation for the Harvard National Model United Nations.

Having had a few days to unwind and explore the city, UNL set course for Boston, where the lustrous Park Plaza Hotel provided the stage for our delegates to shine in representing the Federal Republic of Germany in various committees. Four days, several working papers, and numerous insightful speeches later, our contribution to the conference was recognized by the secretariat in awarding eight of our delegates with a much deserved distinction.

We would like to congratulate our delegates and all other participants for their enthusiasm and dedication, and hope to see you again next year!
